GambleAware announced that John McCracken has resigned as Director of Healthcare Outsourcing.
After three years, McCracken leaves the gambling harm prevention charity to pursue other interests.
Throughout his charity work, McCracken led the early development of the National Gambling Treatment Service, working with the NHS in England, Scotland and Wales to commission innovative services to prevent and treat harm.
Work included the implementation of a data reporting system that GambleAware uses to develop best practice standards for the treatment of gambling-related harms.
The organization's director of education, Dr. Jane Rigbye, will take responsibility for the temporary outsourcing of treatment services, while GambleAware said "trustees and employees wish John good luck in his future endeavors."
Last month, it was announced that Zoë Osmond would replace Marc Etches as the charity's new CEO in late March, after Etches made it clear its intention to step down in August.
Although also in January, the charity announced that it had received £ 4.5 million ($ 6.2 million) in voluntary donations from the gambling industry between April and December 2020.
