November sales were down 50 at South Korean casinos dedicated exclusively to foreigners

Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd (GKL), operator of South Korean foreign-only casinos, said November sales were KRW 5.49 billion ($ 5 million), a 50% decline from October sales and a year-on-year decline of the 88% .

Table gaming revenue was KRW 4.09 billion, down 55% from KRW 9.16 billion in October. Machine game sales were KRW 1.40 billion, a 28% decrease compared to the previous month and a 70% decrease year-on-year from KRW 4.69 billion in November 2019.

Casino revenue was KRW 61.95 billion ($ 56.7 million) and sales for the first 11 months were KRW 186.02 billion, a 58% decrease from the KRW 441.58 billion reported in the same period in 2019.

GKL operates three casinos under the Seven Luck brand, two in Seoul and one in Busan. Currently, all casinos are closed due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. The casino is expected to remain suspended until at least mid-December.

Another foreign-only casino operator, Paradise Co, grossed KRW 9.75bn in sales in November, a 56% down from October and a 85% down year-over-year. The operator's casinos remained open, with social distancing and capacity constraints implemented.
