IGT will provide PlayDigital solution for Veikkaus
International Game Technology (IGT) and Veikkaus announced a partnership under which the provider will launch a remote game server and casino content with the Finnish state operator.
The partnership allows an operator and member of the World Lottery Association (WLA) to access IGT PlayRGS and PlayCasino content via the provider's PlayDigital solution.
The PlayRGS remote game server installation includes maintenance, monitoring and support, as well as access to the full IGT PlayCasino content library.
In addition to now providing single integration with a range of slots and poker games, IGT also provides Veikkaus with its PlayBingo digital bingo solution, a core lottery central system, sports betting and terrestrial slot machines.
PlayRGS is currently being delivered to other WLA members such as Svenska Spel, Norsk Tipping and Danske Spil.
Veikkaus' vice president of Casino Games Jan Hagelberg said: “This solution ensures that Veikkaus can offer the games players want while responsibly developing our digital program to provide our players with the best customer service and the safest online casino available.
IGT PlayDigital Vice President Enrico Drago added: "By adding our powerful PlayRGS solution and gamer-tested PlayCasino digital content to its offering, Veikkaus is reaffirming its status as one of the most technologically advanced operators in the world."
Earlier this month, IGT announced a deal to sell the 100% of its Italian B2C sports betting, slot machines and digital games for € 950 million ($ 1.15 billion).
The deal allows IGT to reduce debt, with net debt as of Sept. 30 of $ 7.24 billion, while its third-quarter revenue fell 15% year-on-year to $ 982 million.
