UFC 262 Odds - Oliveira, Chandler Battle For Lightweight Crown

UFC 262 lost a big match when the Leon Edwards and Nate Diaz welterweight scrap metal was withdrawn due to Diaz's injury. This will be submitted to the UFC 400. However, there is still the big match that is the card's main character as Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler clash for the free lightweight championship. So let's check out UFC 262 Main Event Odds and two other Main Event fights. Next Thursday May we will have bet types on our blog 14.

UFC 262 will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. It will also be attended by fans, which has certainly made the difference at UFC 261 in Jacksonville, Florida.

You can watch UFC 262 starting with ESPN +'s Early Admission Exams at 6:15 PM ET. Thereafter, pre-matches begin at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN. Finally, payment for an impression starts at 10:00 PM ET, via your cable operator or ESPN +.

Charles Oliveira (- 130) vs Michael Chandler (+ 110) - Fight for a vacant light title

This is an interesting choice as Oliveira (30-8, 1 NC) and Chandler (22-5) are third and fourth in the UFC rankings respectively. Dustin Poirier is now the # 1 contender when Khabib Nurmagomedov is officially retired and was the interim lightweight champion. Conor McGregor is a former two-weight champion and the biggest PPV draw in the UFC, but McGregor and Poirier face off at UFC 264 in July after their second fight at UFC 257 in January, and it hasn't been announced, but trilogy winner McGregor / Poirier will likely face winner Oliveira Chandler later this year.

Oliveira is the favorite of the UFC according to UFC 264 odds. This is mainly because UFC fans have seen him win eight in a row. Seven of them were breaks and his latest fight was a dominant unanimous decision over the former 155 - pound interim champion Tony Ferguson, one of the toughest fighters in the industry. However, Oliveira far surpassed Ferguson. He knocked him down well, almost getting a submission in the first round. Oliveira really improved his strokes, but he is a beast on the mat with a third degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Chandler rose to fame at Bellator where he was a three-time lightweight champion and winner of the Season 4 lightweight lightweight tournament. MMA fans know him well. But Chandler made his name known to regular UFC fans by winning Dan Hooker's first round TKO at UFC 257. He is a very strong wrestler with KO power in his hands. His takedown defense will be key to his UFC 262. Oliveira is amazing on the mat. While Ferguson held him back, Chandler does not have the jiu-jitsu skills of Ferguson.

Tony Ferguson (+ 120) vs Beneil Dariush (- 145) - Light

Ferguson (25 - 5) took one hell of beatings in losers one by one from Justin Gaethje and Oliveira. This is the first time he has lost two in a row. He was unlucky in his career as Ferguson had to fight Nurmagomedov five times, but injuries on both sides probably ruined the title fight at one point. Dariush (20 - 4-1) bounced off the episode where he was knocked out twice, along with a draw. He has since won six in a row with four finishes.

UFC 262 Odds for this game are based on the current form. If you look at the track record, Ferguson should be favored. However, the beatings he had received in the last two fights certainly took its toll on him. This works out well for Dariush, who might not be able to handle the best Ferguson, but should be the favorite in this fight.

Katlyn Chookagian (- 145) against Viviane Araujo (+ 145) - Women's flyweight

Chookagian (15-4) is a # 2 Competitor in the women's flywheel category behind Jessica Andrade, who defeated the Chookagian with a body shot in October. Araujo (15-2) is five places lower after two consecutive wins, and although she started out as a jiu-jitsu artist and has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, she is also a very good forward. Aruajo also has an excellent takedown defense, as Roxanne Modafferi found out when Aruajo pushed all five of her attempts in January. The Brazilian is much better on the ground. This is a dangerous fight for Chookagian, who lost to champion Valentina Shevchenko, Andrade and Jessica Eye. They are high level fighters to lose. Is Aruajo already at this level? We'll see at UFC 262.
